New York Red Bulls striker Jozy Altidore targeted by Villarreal

Interesting transfer news are coming out of Spain and it has been reported that Villarreal are pushing through a deal for New York Red Bulls striker Jozy Altidore.
Local newspapers have reported that Villarreal is hoping to find an agreement with MLS chiefs on June 15, the official opening of the American transfer market.
It is believed that Altidore has already held talks with Villarreal directors in New York and is eager to move to Spain.
If this deal fall through, Altidore will join a host of talents at Villarreal and compete for a place in the starting lineup with strikers Jon Dahl Tomasson, Giuseppe Rossi, Nihat Kahveci, Guillermo Franco and Jonathan.
Altidore has so far scored 15 times in 36 appearances for his club New York Red Bulls.
