Transfer news are out from Italy and it is reported that Benfica defender Luisao has been targeted by Italian giants Juventus.
Media reports says that the Brazil international’s agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, has received an approach from Juventus regarding a transfer move ahead of the summer market.
It is believed that the Portuguese side has rated Luisao around the region of £9 million and Juventus is believed to be desperate for an established central defender to help them with their defensive problems.
Luisao has a total of 21 caps for the Brazilian national team and his first one came in July, 2001. He has scored one goal, in the Copa America 2004 and was included in manager Carlos Alberto Parreira’s Brazil squad for the World Cup 2006. However, Luisao did not play a part in the tournament.
