The Reds offer £12m for Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones

Liverpool FC is preparing a bid of around £12m for Sunderland FC striker Kenwyne Jones. Reports are out that Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has made an enquiry to Roy Keane about 6ft 5in powerhouse Jones, who only joined the Black Cats from Southampton in the summer for £6million. This gives Sunderland an opportunity to double their investment on the Trinidad and Tobago international player.
Does this mean that Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is on his way out of Liverpool FC? The fact Benitez is looking around for another huge hitman means Crouch’s days are numbered at Liverpool. Peter Crouch could also be offered to Sunderland in a player plus cash deal in order to land Kenwyne Jones.
