It is reported that Aston Villa are chasing Steaua Bucharest and Romanian International midfielder Nicolae Dica.
Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill previously attempted to sign Dica over the summer and is still very much interested in signing the talented 27 year-old midfielder.
Martin O’Neill however faces competition from Greece’s Olympiacos who is also interested in the player and reports are out that the club have already made a bid for Dica.
Where will Dica choose to play?English Premier League or in Greece?i personally feel that Dica should be in the Premier League because he will be able to compete with top players in the world and in the process making a name for himself.

Barcelona chasing German international Philip Lahm

Reports are surfacing that Barcelona are moving for Bayern Munich and German International left-back Philip Lahm. Barcelona is said to be seeing the German defender as a possible replacement for Italian defender Gianluca Zambrota.
It has been reported that Barca officials have already made contact with Lahm’s agent for a move to the Nou Camp at the end of this season. The fee involved is yet to be announced.

Phil Bardsley joins Sheffield United on loan

Manchester United defender Phil Bardsley has signed for Sheffield United on loan for three months.
Bardsley spent the second-half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, where he made 12 appearances for the Premier League side and has also had a loan spell at Scotland with Rangers.
Bardsley can play any position at the back, but is expected to play at right back replacing the injured Derek Geary who is said to be out for up to six weeks following a knee surgery.
This move to the Blades will give the opportunity to young Bardsley to improve his game while mastering the tactical aspects of the modern game. This opportunity will definitely provide him a chance to impress Sir Alex Freguson and push for a starting place in the Manchester United team.

John Arne Riise is wanted by Aston Villa and Norway international teammate John Carew is urging the Liverpool left-back to join him at the club.
Carew also added that it seems to him that Riise would leave Liverpool FC and Aston Villa would suit him perfectly.
John Arne Riise has failed to hold down a regular starting position in the team and has fall behind in the pecking order with Rafa Benitez continuing his rotation policy.
It is also reported that Rafa Benitez is considering a bid for Gabriel Heinze who plays in the similar position as Riise in Real Madrid.This would be the best possible chance for Riise to make a transfer request and make a move to Aston Villa or “The Villains”.
